I spent like $60 on a TV tuner card, and about $100 for a 1.5 tb hard drive, and threw it into an old PC that had a 400 gig drive and an older ATI vid card with 256 megs of ram. It's hooked up to my LCD TV, and I've got a wireless keyboard/mouse I had laying around on it. I can watch TV from the computer, play WoW, or record and stream TV to other PC's in the house.It's not rocket science.

“Please, 13 cents is a huge deal. Maybe not at the pump for some of you well off people, but in terms of shipping and manufacturing alone that ~5% can be echoed to every purchase. I don't know about you, but I'm just getting by here, and an increase of 5% means cutting back on things I actually need. I'm not interested in aiding this speculative cure for a speculative problem with money I actually need. If any of you are; I'm sure there are great organizations who would be more than happy to take your money and do good with it, just don't tell me what to do with mine.

A lot of people are upgrading even from XP. Like... me. So far I can't imagine going back despite the odd Microphone mute when certain applications are open..
I don't understand what the cop is trying to do.Is he trying to train the dog? Is he practicing on a dog, how to overcome an uncooperative crim?If he thinks he is just 'playing rough' with the dog, the yelps should tell him otherwise.On the other hand, I thought a police dog would not be bothered by this treatment. Or is it just confused because it's trainer (not a crim) is doing this stuff?!

A lot of these patches are probably proprietary to how they manage their network and would not be the sort of things you would want to merge back into the main code line, even if they were wanted.I would certainly hope that they merge back in all bug and security fixes, however. It really wouldn't make sense for them to hold onto those, as doing so requires you to have to do the same changes every 17 months.

I hate the way universities force programming on everyone (mine does anyway), they make you learn all these complex methodologies and conceptual dribble when all I wanted to learn was N-E-T-W-O-R-K-I-N-G. I'm majoring as a Systems Engineer and so far I've done one 4 programming units, 2 graphic design and 2 electronics....
