Exactly. I'd dig this up 100x if I could. The cops think they know how to spot a criminal because they've been on the force a while. They often have extensive interrogation training and experience. They also often don't know the law, don't care about the law, or both. Their job is to get whatever evidence they can that would be helpful to a prosecutor, not to be an impartial trier of fact. If you waive your 5th Amendment rights (Miranda rights), you have waived them. No going back. If you answer questions, and they didn't violate your rights, your answers are admissible. The fact that you didn't mean to waive your rights almost never matters. Even if your rights were violated, you would have to get your statement suppressed which is expensive and unpredictable. While some denials of motions to suppress would win on appeal, that makes the case even longer and more expensive because you need to appeal (never a sure thing), then have a new trial. You have the right to remain silent and to consult council. Use those rights.!

I wouldn't count out WinMo just yet. It's surprisingly customizable, and with a few tweaks here and there, it's the perfect platform for mod freaks like me. I flash my phone about once a week to a new build of WinMo 6.5.1, and am constantly installing new shells, programs, and hacks. Frankly, as long as xda-developer is around, I'd buy another.
