Yup, exactly, thanks for putting it into words so I didn't have to. Girls are used to people buying drinks for them, you doing so doesn't help you out at all, at least not any more than saying 'hi' would. I also know plenty of girls that go to bars just to get guys to buy drinks for them, and it works, that's a lot of the reason I don't do it.I've bought drinks for girls twice in my life, one time was just normal, the other time she was just completely taking advantage of it, she was also trying to get me drunk though...but that's a long story. She's also part of the reason I don't.

I normally disable ABP on sites I frequent but Digg is one exception. I understand the need for ads and I've tried multiple times to keep it disabled but there are just too many ***** ads on this site. Remember the neon colored free iPod ads? How about those auto-expanding flash ads that would cover half the screen? Or the video ads that would auto play? Now there's this garbage.Site note: I've had ABP enabled for awhile so I'm wondering if Digg has ever had those obnoxious teeth whitening ads?

Yeah, lots of craziness among the pundits. The Democrats just picked up a House seat -- a district that hasn't swung blue since before our great-grandparents were born, no less -- and that's supposed to make them worry about losing control of the legislature in 2010?The other races have no predictive value; governors are a totally different beast than federal offices. NY-23 was the race to watch, and the teabaggers proved they're still political poison. It's a real shame, because I'd really like to see a rational opposition party these days.
