Way to not see the big picture Novenator. Republicans winning gubernatorial races in states that Obama had solidly won is a clear sign that people are pissed with the Democratic agenda. Gibbs can claim it's about local issues all he wants, but that's simply not the whole truth. Democrats, that includes Obama, Senators, Congressman, etc, were elected in large part to a massive backlash against Bush policy. The DNC could have put a retarded dog in a clown suit up for election, and it would have stood a good chance of winning the 2008 election.People wanted the political climate to change. They wanted parties to work together again to create laws and policy that's good for all Americans. What we got is an even more polarized administration..
I think a lot of the baffling nature of the Matrix is that humans simply misunderstand the machines' intentions. Hell, Morpheus himself could've figured it out if he had taken two seconds to think about what he said. He specifically stated that the machines gather energy from humans, which combined with nuclear fusion, gives them their electricity. The law of conservation of energy states that using humans as batteries makes no sense, so clearly they ultimately get all their power from fusion. And I mean, being efficient, they wouldn't want energy to go to waste - they were not using the humans as a power source, they were simply collecting the wasted energy put out by the humans - simply being warm-blooded results in a lot of wasted energy.So then, if they're not using humans as energy sources, why have them hooked up to the Matrix in the first place? And hell, why bother designing something as complex as the Matrix even if they were using humans as batteries? Why not just control them with sedatives or something? Answer - have you looked around outside? It's a nightmarish hellhole. The machines didn't enslave the humans, they friggin' saved humanity from its own stupidity, and even built them a virtual paradise to replace what was lost.So actually, the machines' actions make perfect sense if you don't automatically assume that the machines' intentions are evil. But of course the humans are all speciesist against the machines, and so they don't see it. Hell, is there any evidence at all to suggest that the machines are evil? Not that I can see - every act of violence against the humans was a reaction to an attack started by the humans.!

We did an unscientific speed test at work for loading web pages between the Droid, an iPhone 3gs and an iPhone 2g.It blew the other phones away for how fast it loaded web pages, both pages that rely on a lot of back and forth between the server and just straight up large image downloads. The droid had super low latency and high bandwidth. It was like desktop speeds for loading web pages, amazing!
