Americans were far more religious 60 years ago than now yet are education system was better then. This is just a hokey argument to cover for the fact it is not evangelical nutbuckets but feel-good progressive liberalism that has destroyed our schools. Teachers now are acting like "friends" to our students instead of being instructors, playing computer games like Oregon Trail are more valued instead of teaching reading, writing and arithmetic, and competition is gone, every child is considered equal, if a couple bad eggs flunk a test, the scores are "re-adjusted" with a curve and everyone's scores are brought up. We might as well just eliminate A's, B's, and C's and just give the little chillun' gold stars for completing a test. Funny too how fly-over red states in the midwest, you know where all those crazy bible thumpers live, score higher on the SAT than Cali-pornia. As a resident of the North I would like reparations to be paid by African Americans for the lives lost in my family during the war to free the slaves. I would think a few million dollars would settle the issue all well and fine. In addition, as an athiest, I would like reparations paid by Christians for the suffering experienced by my decendants who were viciously persecuted during the crusades.!
